The Eamcet admissions committee will conduct another round of counselling for engineering seats in September after 82,500 students stayed away from the process in the first round.

“Some new colleges have been approved by AICTE.
This apart, some existing colleges have got additional branches and seats. We have no option but to conduct the second phase of counselling,” said Prof.
K.C. Reddy, chairman, APSCHE. He said the final allotment of seats will be made on August 31. “After this, counselling for pharmacy courses for BPC students will be conducted and later the second phase for MBA and MCA. The Eamcet second phase will be conducted after that.”

The committee will announce a detailed schedule for re-conducting the certificate verification process, and the ICET seat allotments for MBA and MCA courses will be made on Thursday. “The list will be kept on the website by evening,” Prof. Reddy said.

The Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, which runs IIITs at Idupulapaya, Nuzividu and Basar, will announce its fresh list on Thursday.

ICET Second Phase Counselling

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved another 115 MBA and 15 MCA colleges in the state for this academic year.

The state already has 498 MBA colleges with an intake of 34,701 seats and 698 MCA colleges with 46,618 seats. With these new colleges, the MBA seats will increase by 9,000 and MCA by 1,500 seats.

The AP State Council of Higher Education, which had earlier decided not to allow admissions to colleges that were approved after the counselling schedule was announced, has backtracked.

“We will conduct the second phase of counselling by September 10 for admissions into these colleges,” said Prof K.C. Reddy, the APSCHE chairman.

EAMCET-2009 [MPC Stream] NOTIFICATION FOR ADMISSION

Admissions will be through Web Based Counseling.
Candidates should register for Certificate Verification with all Original Certificates.
ST Category Candidates should go to only 33 designated Help Line Centres.
Certificate Verification of special Categories i.e., PH/NCC/CAP/Sports & Games/Anglo-Indian will be at Sanketika Vidya Bhavan, Masabtank, Hyderabad only.
Other candidates can go to any one of the 50 Help Line centres.
Certificate Verification is mandatory for exercising options.
Registration Fee to be paid is Rs. 200/- .
All Candidates whose Annual Parental income is up to Rs.1 Lakh are exempted from the payment of Tuition fee.

ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES TO BE PRODUCED:

Certificates to be produced by Both ICET & EAMCET Candidates:

1. SSC or equivalent Marks memo.

2. Caste Certificate

3. Income Certificate issued after 01.01.2009.

4. Minority candidates have to produce SSC T.C. indicating Minority Status in terms of G.O.Ms.No.1. Minority Welfare (M & R) Dept, dated: 16.01.2004.

5. Certificate in support of Non-Local Status (For Non-Local Candidates).

6. Intermediate pass certificate or its equivalent

7. VI to Intermediate Study Certificates.

ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATES TO BE PRODUCED BY SPECIAL CATEGORY CANDIDATES

PH Category: Candidates have to produce a certificate issued by the District Medical Board and only candidates who have disability of 40% and above are eligible.

CAP Category: 1. Ex-Servicemen have to produce a certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer. 2. Identity Card 3. Discharge Book for verification. Serving personnel have to produce Service Certificate from the Place of Work indicating the Relation of Candidate with the personnel. Only Candidates whose parents are domicile of A.P. are eligible to be considered under “CAP” Category.

Anglo-Indian: Candidates have to produce a certificate issued by R.D.O/Deputy Collector having Jurisdiction over the place where they are residing.

EAMCET ICET Counselling Notification

EAMCET Counselling from 25th July

“The APSCHE would soon issue EAMCET counselling notification by today evening i.e on 10th July, Before that the AICTE would have to clear out the College renewals,” APSCHE Chairman K.C.Reddy said.

The education officials have also informed that EAMCET counselling is likely to start on 25th July and ICET Counselling on 15th July. Detailed counselling notification will issued on 11th July 09.
